Isola d’Elba, Italia

One weekend my roommates and I left Florence and took a trip to the island of Elba. ..I’m not sure why I picked Elba to visit since I only knew it as Napoleon’s place of exile. But I must have thought oh an island, how fun.

We took a train from Florence to Piombino, a boat to Portoferraio, and then a bus to Marciana Marina.

Our main activity while in Marciana Marina was to go sea kayaking, but our guide told us it was too rough that day so we stayed in the harbor and practiced how to tip our kayaks over and right ourselves back up.
